Ubuntu launches UBUNTU MID(Mobile Internet Device) edition 8.04

Full internet no compromise! is the way ubuntu claims its new software to be for mobile internet devices. This version which is a developer friendly version can be customised by developers to meet their requirements and use it in their gadgets .Ubuntu has developed this platform with help from intel a leading manufactrer of chips and motherboads.
The os claims to have just the right applications providing an uncompromised Web 2.0 experience: Web browsing, email, media, camera, VoIP, instant messaging, GPS, blogging, digital TV, games, contacts, dates/calendar, simple software updates... and lots more.
The next important feauture is that it is finger friendly and touch driven so you dont need to safeguard your stylus anymore.Simply tap the screen or drag a finger to make gestures for intuitive navigation and control and just swipe your finger on a web page to pan up, down or sideways and for a video, photo, song or thumbnail page to move to the next or the previous one.

SORRY I FORGOT TI MENTION ABOUT MID DEVICES.MID devices are those devices which are small in size/form factor with 4 to 7 inches touch screen with physical or virtual keyboard,Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, WiMAX ,2GB to 8GB Flash or disk storage, 256MB+ memory/512MB+ recommended, OpenGL 3D,USB, camera, head phone jack, speakers, microphone. Thus a complete device with complete mobility.
