Is it worth to buy Adobe photoshop or is it better to use Gimp (open source photo editor) ?

Gimp an open source photo editor is just another open source application which not just boasts it is free of cost but also has better features than the paid version picture editor softwares available in the market. Not just better features but also is simpler to use by common people than its competitor which is quite difficult to use.
some of the main feautures include:

Customizable Interface

As every task requires different environments to work in thus GIMP allows you to customize the view and behaviour the way you like it. GIMP features a great fullscreen mode allowing you to not only preview your artwork but also do editing work while using the most of your screen estate.

Photo Enhancement

Fix perspective distortion caused by lens tilt simply choosing the corrective mode in the transform tools. Eliminate lens' barrel distortion and vignetting with a powerful filter but a simple interface. The included channel mixer gives you the flexibility and power to get your B/W photography stand out the way you need.

Digital Retouching

GIMP is ideal for advanced photo retouching techniques. Get rid of unneeded details using the clone tool, or touch up minor details easily with the new healing tool. With the perspective clone tool, it's not difficult to clone objects with perspective in mind just as easily as with the orthogonal clone.

I HAVE GIVEN YOU ALL THE INFORMATION AS FAR AS I COULD (AS ALWAYS) NOW IT IS YOUR TURN TO DECIDE!

Microsoft Bids farewell to Windows Xp

The Windows Xp was so named for the new eXPerience it provided when it was launched in October 2001.Unlike the Vista the XP was a real all rounder both in looks and utility .Xp has gained more popularity after the launch of the much hyped windows vista which is just flashy from outside but not inside. Eventhough Vista has better looks and has better capabilities to edit multimedia content but the million dollar question is whether we all need it ? 90% would say no.Not many upgrade their pc's very often and this version windows vista needs a minimum of a dual core processor and minimum of 3 Gb ram to work well. Thus preventing many to switch over to this new baby from microsoft. Windows Xp which was a winner throughout its life span , would have to face death tommorrow (Bravely).Eventhough it is killed by microsoft it will still remain to show its presence on all the hearts (pc's) of a large portion of users all over the world.
